Brief Paperwork

Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with specific information about yourself and your condition.

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, as well as potential treatment options. A good case history is one of the most important ingredients to understand your health needs, and we will take the time to do it properly.

History and Examination

Dr. Brue recommends a thorough evaluation prior to treatment. He finds that is necessary to discuss both present complaints, past illnesses and previous injuries to properly evaluate the need for care. An examination most often consists of the testing of the ranges-of-motions of the spine, as well as orthopedic and neurological testing. Dr. Brue has often heard patients state that they "have never had a more complete evaluation in any office."

X-ray Studies

The doctor may recommend an x-ray study for the involved area of pain. An x-ray study not only tells the doctor what is wrong---x-ray studies also help determine whether or not the doctor can help the patient. X-ray studies are also an important aid to advise the patient how long the problem may take to resolve. From a chiropractic standpoint, x-ray studies are like the blueprint of the spine. X-ray studies help the doctor determine the specific spinal corrections that must be made to restore your body to health.

Same Day Treatment

Dr. Brue does not require lengthy commitments to care. It is his experience that the majority of patients that he accepts for care will improve within a relatively short time. Before beginning treatment, the doctor will go over a recommended treatment plan. The success of a doctor/patient relationship is a team effort. Dr. Brue's philosophy is to work with the patient's medical team, as well as advise the patient in what he or she can do to restore their body to maximum health.

Home Instructions

Patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. We will also advise you if you need to seek the advice of another health provider.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

Generally speaking, we will do everything possible to get you in for care on the same day that you call our office. If it is impossible for us to schedule you the same day that you call, we will see you the following day. We are very aware that anyone that is experiencing significant pain does not want to wait for care. Anyone that is in pain wants to be seen as soon as possible. We will do everything possible to see you immediately, and we will make special arrangements to see you on an emergency basis.

Once you are a patient in our office, we will do our best to schedule you for care during a time that is convenient for your schedule. To make an appointment, please call our office at 520-825-8182.
